This product is a DRV8833 motor driver module useful for controlling two brushed DC motors or for controlling a stepper motor. With this, you can control low power motors, which consume up to 1.5A continuously and 2A on peak, at a maximum supply voltage of 10.8V DC.

A major advantage of the motor driver is that the outputs can be connected in parallel to control a motor at a maximum current of 3A continuously. Also, the driver does not need a separate power supply for the logic circuits. It supports 3.3V or 5V logic input signal, but no more.

The operating frequency of the PWM signal is 50kHz, so the sound generated by the motors will not be annoying. Also, the driver has the possibility to limit the maximum current consumed by the motors. It can be adjusted with the help of two shunt resistors.

Features:

  • Operating Voltage: 2.7V - 10.8V DC
  • Maximum Current / Channel: 1.5 A (continuously)
  • Maximum Current / Peak channel: 2A
  • Over current protection (adjustable)
  • Short circuit protection
  • Under voltage protection
  • Over temperature protection
  • Low power sleep mode
  • Pin fault to indicate error
  • Rds Low side + High side = 360 mΩ
  • Logic inputs compatible with 3.3V / 5V
  • PWM Frequency: 50kHz
