Any high power motor driver, linear voltage regulator, or other SOC will get hot when pushed to its limits, a heat sink will help dissipate heat and keep things running cool. These heat sinks measure 8 x 8 x 5mm and include adhesive thermal tape on the back. This tape will help keep the heat sink in place and improve the transfer of heat from the chip to the aluminum of the heat sink.
