This USB Host Shield allows you to implement a full speed USB host/peripheral controller on your Arduino micro-controller. It already includes all of the hardware required to do this, you only need to plug it in and program your Arduino to interface with it.

You can connect keyboard or mouse to Arduino, make wireless communication, read barcode and even connect your phone with bluetooth dongle. On board the MAX3421E is used as an integrated USB host/SPI converter. It is compatible with Arduino Uno and Mega and can be used with 3.3V cards with the choice of 5V/3.3V.
